The AKS dura-kut gantry precision cutting system is designed to exacting machine tool standards
utilizing robust heavy-duty construction techniques to provide precision shape cutting solutions over the long run.
AKS dura-kut features all welded, reinforced components with all contact surfaces machined to ensure accurate
match-up with mating surfaces.
AKS dura-kut’s unique gantry design incorporates a robust, welded and stiffened double beam with low center of mass and
high rigidity. Standard features include an air circulating cooling system to cool the beam and heat shields to protect against
heat build-up.
AKS dura-kut general features and description
- Systems can be equipped with a combination of conventional and precision plasma, oxy-fuel and marking systems in various
configurations for up to six stations
- Designed and manufactured to machine tool standards for maximum precision, repeatability, durability and longevity
- Unique low center of mass beam with high rigidity
- Machined crane rails supported on continuous heavy H-beam (customer supplied) for stability and precision
- Robust welded double beam bridge frame with stiffeners, air cooling and heat shields for added protection from heat build up
- Machined end trucks with oversized wheel bearings and long wheel base for stability
- Longitudinal axis dual side AC brushless drives with ultra low backlash planetary gearboxes with precision hardened and ground rack and pinion drives
- Transverse axis DualVee® motion linear guide system provides unmatched precision and reliability and is more impervious to harsh environments
- Synchronous stainless steel belt on transverse axis to maximize durability, long life and accuracy, particularly in high temperature and harsh environments
- Easy to operate pneumatic clamping for torch spacing
- Cable and hoses enclosed for superior protection
- High tech PC based touch screen CNC control and AC brushless drives provide high acceleration and superior motion response and best performance
